Gentle Oak Gives Back

A Corporate Social Responsibility Project for Animals

Gentle Oak loves animals. Helping animals is not only a job but it is our passion. Therefore, as part of our initiative to give back to society, we decided to do our part in helping some shelter and stray animals as we believe that all animals deserve to be loved, respected and cared for.

On 5th January 2016, the Gentle Oak team of vets and nurses closed the clinic for a day and volunteered at Noah’s Ark, an animal sanctuary in Johor Bahru that is home to 700 dogs, 300 cats, 9 horses, 2 ponies, 3 macaques, 1 gibbon and 1 wild boar.

Under the leadership of our head Veterinarian, Dr Lee Yee Lin, the Gentle Oak team successfully performed 8 surgeries which include sterilisation, limb amputation, lumpectomy and ear canal resection.

The Gentle Oak team would like to express gratitude to Noah’s Ark for the excellent care they provide to the needy animals and also for the opportunity for our clinic to be part of such a meaningful volunteering partnership.
