About
Dr Priscilla Ho graduated from Murdoch University and has been practising since at Gentle Oak 2020. Her love for animals started when she got her first pet at the age of six, and when she started feeding stray cats around the community. From her time volunteering at the animal shelters and shadowing veterinarians at clinics, Priscilla realised the effects that vets can have on both the lives of animals and their owners. She too wanted the chance to help the lives of not only the animals, but the people who love them.
Priscilla has a keen interest in small animal internal medicine as well as emergency and critical care. These aspects of veterinary medicine challenges and provides her the opportunity to grow as a vet. Priscilla also keeps herself up to date with the latest industry developments and is committed to expanding her knowledge especially in those fields.
Being a strong believer in the human-animal bond, Priscilla appreciates and value the fact that pets are an integral part of the family. Hence, she strives to support and involve owners through decision-making and understanding treatment plans. Other favourite parts of her job includes working with the amazing people at Gentle Oak, as well as the sense of fulfilment that comes from successfully diagnosing and treating a sick pet.
In her free time, Priscilla enjoys practising yoga, reading, and spending time with her two adopted cats, Xiao Hong and Alexander.
