Dr Alice Liaw

Veterinary Surgeon

BSc BVMS Hons (Murdoch)

About

Ever since she was young, Dr Alice has always known that she wanted to become a Veterinarian. Her love for animals began when she and her siblings started caring for their community cats.

After graduating from Murdoch University in 2011, Dr Alice returned to Singapore to work in a busy small animal practice. During this time, she developed a keen interest in Internal Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine course with University of Sydney’s Centre for Veterinary Education (CVE) in 2014.

Dr Alice received her Advanced Certification in Veterinary Western Herbal Medicine from the College of Integrative Therapies (CIVT) in 2018. She believes in an integrative approach of combining conventional medicine and complementary therapies such as herbal medicine when it comes to treating her patients.

Dr Alice strongly believes in helping the needy and voiceless. Before the pandemic, she regularly volunteered at Noah’s Ark Natural Animal Shelter in Malaysia. She is still an active committee member and helps with their fundraising efforts. Dr Alice also supports adoption and currently shares her home with her adopted cat, Ah Niu and rescued ex-breeding Boston Terrier, Louie.

Outside of work, Dr Alice enjoys travelling, tending to her plants and spending time with her pets.
